Star-studded band confirmed for Googlies

On 14th April the Ed Puddick Big Band will be making their annual trip to Botany Bay Cricket Club near Enfield to perform as part of the Googlies Jazz Club “Big Band Sundays” series. The personnel for this gig has now been confirmed and boasts some star names from the British jazz scene. The trumpet section will be lead by the London Jazz Orchestra’s Noel Langley, with support from rising start Reuben Fowler and BBC Big Band soloist Martin Shaw. The saxophone section also features a BBC Big Band member Martin Williams on tenor, alongside established performers and educators Martin Hathaway on alto and Mick Foster on baritone. Completing the section will be Tom Challenger on tenor. Simon WalkerAndy Lester and Andy Flaxman will be manning the trombones alongside the irreplaceable Jim Rattigan on French Horn. On guitar will be Chris Allard, Tom Farmer will play bass and the rhythm section will be completed by the distinctive sound of Paul Clarvis on the drums.
